Saicho at The 50 Best Hotels 2026: An Evening in Paris

This September, the world of luxury hospitality came together in Paris for the fourth edition of The 50 Best Hotels, celebrating the hotels, people and experiences shaping the future of travel.

Held at Les Salles du Carrousel, the evening brought together leading hoteliers, travel experts and industry figures from around the world for the unveiling of The 50 Best Hotels 2026. As Official Sparkling Tea Partner, Saicho was poured throughout the evening.

A Night in Paris

For the first time, The 50 Best Hotels awards ceremony moved beyond London, bringing this year's gathering to the heart of Paris.

The evening was a celebration of exceptional hospitality, with the 2026 list spanning 22 territories across six continents. From intimate retreats to iconic city hotels, the ranking reflects the many different ways hotels are creating memorable experiences for their guests.

Saicho at The 50 Best Hotels

Throughout the evening, Saicho was poured from our signature carts by Devender Sehgal, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy our sparkling teas as they moved through the celebrations.

Created from carefully selected single origin teas, each expression is cold brewed for 24 hours before being gently finished with fine bubbles. Served chilled and designed for the table, it sits naturally alongside an evening built around food, hospitality, and the people behind both.

Being in the room with some of the world's most considered hotels felt like exactly the right place for Saicho to be poured.

Celebrating Hong Kong's Hotels

Hong Kong had three hotels featured among The 50 Best Hotels 2026, including this year's No.1.

Rosewood Hong Kong retained its position at No.1 for the second consecutive year, also taking the title of The Best Hotel in Asia. Upper House Hong Kong followed at No.8, while The Peninsula Hong Kong featured at No.46.

Three distinctive Hong Kong addresses, each bringing its own perspective to the city's hospitality.

The Top 10

Behind Rosewood Hong Kong at No.1, Capella Bangkok took No.2, with Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River at No.3. Atlantis The Royal in Dubai placed No.4, while Passalacqua in Lake Como took No.5.

Rounding out the top ten were Rosewood São Paulo, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Upper House Hong Kong, Chablé Yucatán and Mandarin Oriental Bangkok.

More Than a Ranking

Alongside the main list, the evening also recognised hotels and individuals through a series of special awards.

Passalacqua received the Best Boutique Hotel Award for the third consecutive year, Hôtel du Couvent in Nice was recognised with the Johnnie Walker Art of Design Award, and Chablé Yucatán received the Bombay Sapphire Eco Hotel Award. Rosewood was also named the winner of the Ferrari Trento Most Admired Hotel Group Award.

The awards celebrate the details that make a hotel worth returning to, from thoughtful design and sustainability to service, innovation, and a strong sense of place.

A Toast to Hospitality

Paris brought together the people and places continuing to shape hospitality around the world. The conversations, the recognition, and the room itself were a reminder of what this industry looks like at its best. Saicho was proud to be part of it. Congratulations to every hotel recognised on this year's list.
